ST EDMUND KING & MARTYR
WEST KINGSDOWN

Interregnum Period

Understandably, many people have been asking what will happen when Rev Sarah leaves, with questions like who will take over, when will a new Rector arrive, might we become part of a benefice?

The honest answer is that at this stage, nobody knows. We are about to enter what is known as an Interregnum the period between the departure of one incumbent (Rev Sarah) and the appointment of her successor.

During this time, the church wardens with the help of the PCC will continue to oversee the life of the church and will keep everyone informed as developments occur.
